September is National Yoga Month. To encourage people to try yoga, we are offering a new series for yoga novices and for yoga students in need of a refresher. If you want to add yoga to your life, now is the time to do it. No experience necessary. This slow-paced, well-supported and relaxing class is perfect for people brand new to yoga, and for people who have tried yoga before and want to revisit the experience at a slower place.
This four-class session will include easy to do and easy to remember poses that will support a home practice. Whenever appropriate, props and modifications will be used to make the poses accessible. Poses in the earlier classes of the session will emphasize breathing, stretching, improving range of motion and will gradually progress to include poses to strengthen the body and improve balance. All classes will include some restorative poses and strategies to help you relax.

We all agree that our lives are full of distractions. Things to do, social media, 24/7 news, etc. Separating from all that “noise” and just being quiet can be quite intimidating to people. And many believe that since their mind seems to constantly be thinking that meditation is impossible for them. Not true! Being able to focus our minds takes practice but the rewards are worth it. Beginner and seasoned meditators are welcome to this class. It’s informal and supportive.
